Afya Intelligence reached 1,250 health facilities, established 1 public and 2 private partnerships, raised $50,000, and created 3 new jobs. The solution was incorporated into Ministry of Health training programs, strengthening integration and national credibility.

Afya Intelligence developed Afyalytics, an AI-powered predictive analytics platform fully integrated with the national electronic Logistics Management Information System (eLMIS) to optimize forecasting for essential medicines. Implementation included software development, server procurement, and training for new facilities. In collaboration with the Ministry of Health, healthcare workers, and partners such as inSupply Health, the solution was designed to align with national priorities. By integrating Afyalytics into the Ministry of Health’s eLMIS and training programs, the company directly supports Tanzania’s strategic objective of improving medicine availability and data-driven decision-making for HIV, malaria, and NCDs, while reinforcing national capacity-building goals.

The company demonstrated how stakeholder co-creation drives adoption but faced sustainability challenges due to government preference for in-house systems. Afya Intelligence highlighted the importance of policy clarity, government feedback mechanisms, and continued evidence generation for system-wide adoption.
