Background:
Funding is a critical driver for scaling healthtech solutions. As the healthtech sector continues to grow exponentially, there is increasing interest from both commercial and philanthropic investors to back innovative solutions across Africa.
The HealthTech Hub Africa Investor Summit 2024 is a premier two-day event that brings together startups, investors, and industry leaders to foster collaboration and unlock funding opportunities within Africa’s healthtech investment ecosystem.
For the last two years, the HealthTech Hub has hosted its Investor Summit at Norrsken House in Kigali, positioning it as a key graduation event for
startups in its accelerator program. Startups that have received investment-readiness support throughout the program showcase their innovations and pitch their solutions to potential investors.
Investor Summit 2024 : Overview
The Summit provides not only funding opportunities but also a platform for networking, peer learning among cohort members, and engagement with ecosystem players and policymakers.
The 2023 Investor Summit attracted 307 attendees from 33 countries and 84 organizations, offering a rich three-day program that included a half-day workshop, followed by two full days of keynote addresses, startup pitches, panel discussions, and an interactive exhibition.
This year, the HealthTech Hub Africa Investor Summit will take place in Kigali on October 30–31, 2024, under the theme “Innovating for Community Health, Resilience, and Wellbeing: Unlocking the Power of AI and Emerging Technologies.” For the first time, the Summit will partner with Africa
CDC to be featured at the Africa HealthTech Summit 2024, amplifying its impact and reach.

To showcase the HealthTech Hub Africa 2024 cohort
• To facilitate networking opportunities between investors and entrepreneurs
• To share progress on the policy blueprint for advancing health tech in Africa
• To introduce the Standards and Interoperability Lab to a new stakeholder audience
Target Audience :
The event will target mainly various VC and PE firms as well as HTHA startups, policy makers, development partners and government champions.
