The HealthTech Policy Summit 2024

Theme : Strengthening Public Health Systems Policies to Accelerate HealthTech Solutions in Africa

The HealthTech Policy Summit 2024, hosted by HealthTech Hub Africa (HTHA), is a premier policy dialogue forum designed to engage governments, innovators, donors, and key HealthTech stakeholders. Building on the foundation established by two preceding summits in Kigali (March 2023) and Senegal (August 2023), this two-day event will convene on October 28-29, 2024, at Norrsken House, Kigali. The summit is organized by HTHA operator partners, led by Jhpiego, and the HTHA Intergovernmental Working Group (IWG).

About the Event

Discussions will be anchored on the newly launched Policy Blueprint 1.0, a comprehensive document synthesizing data collected across 11 African countries over the past year – 2023. The Blueprint serves as a playbook for public health policymakers, offering actionable recommendations to governments for fast-tracking HealthTech innovations, addressing policy gaps, and scaling solutions to strengthen health service delivery systems across Africa.
The overarching goal of the 2024 Summit is to review, refine, and endorse key policy recommendations and execution priorities that will advance HealthTech innovation and collaboration across Africa over the next year. The Summit aims to achieve four objectives:
    • Review and Endorse Policy Blueprint Recommendations
    • Launch the Pan-African Intergovernmental Working Group (IWG)
    • Promote Value-Driven Collaboration
    • Identify key elements and considerations for inclusion in future versions of the Policy Blueprint
